Breaking into the entertainment industry at the age of 10, Dawson High has been making a name for himself in the private event space for the past six years, crushing sets and providing memorable experiences for clients at a wide range of high-end events. From top hits to classic tracks, this open-format DJ reads the room and sets the mood with his curated and custom-tailored selections. Inspired by influential people like Shani Barnett, Jimmy Hussey, Nate Nelson, and Joe Bunn, Dawson is a student of the culture, putting his signature style on every track he spins and commanding any room with class and top-notch professionalism.
Known as one of the youngest traveling event DJs in the country, Dawson is highly sought after in the private and corporate events industry. He continues to improve his craft in every way possible. From hosting his radio mix show to playing at different conferences, showcases, and industry parties, to networking with other industry professionals, he manages to do it all while still having time to be a high school student.
Currently, Dawson is the on-stage performing DJ for the Midwest DJs Live 2021 conference and a performing artist at The DJ Collective. He's been published in DJ Times Magazine as a featured writer and has played for over 350+ clients. His unique entertainment style will make for a jaw-dropping experience at any event, creating fond memories that your guests will remember for a lifetime.
WHY I DO what i do
People + Music = Memories.
Let me break it down. People are people, and there isn’t anything that can make us alike or change who we are. We’re built to be unique, not like each other. Music is simple; we created something that takes each other on a journey, away from our everyday lives, the world around us, frankly, a safe environment for all emotions. One universal thing we all have in common, no matter how different we are. Memories are experiences that our minds unconsciously store for us. Actions or things kept in our minds for a lifetime to come.
But why do I tell you this? The reason is that, without people, there would be no music, and without music, there would be no dancing, no singing, no one thing that we all have in common. Without people and music combined, no memories would be shared or stored.
I get the opportunity to help curate music for people celebrating the best day of their lives, creating experiences and memories to be cherished forever. First hand, I get to watch all the emotions that music gives people – to control feelings and take people on a journey they’ve never been on before. I play a role in a lifetime memory and an unforgettable experience. To bring people together to share and enjoy the one thing we have in common. Music.
